I feel you Jeff. The waste is definitely the biggest downside as I see it. Instant packets have much less waste and you don’t have to pack anything out. I will say though, the Nature’s Coffee Kettle coffee tastes far better than Starbucks Via. Without a doubt. Via would probably be my second choice, but if you’re looking for the best coffee, I’d go with Nature’s Coffee Kettle. Thanks for the comment!

I’m also not keen on putting hot liquid into anything plastic. I’ve been packing the Via packets from Starbucks. They’re a buck each and you’re only packing out a tiny bit of micro-trash.
