You're welcome! If you check our top picks page (linked in the top menu bar), you'll find links to all our favorite gear, including our favorite backpacking camera. We took the Sony RX 100 out on this trip for these pics and it's great. As for dangerous animals, there aren't really too many to speak of. You'll want to look out for scorpions and snakes, but they're pretty rare to see. As for mobile communication, that's a no go for now. It's a pretty remote area. Hope that helps!

Thanks for a useful guide. This summer me and my friends wanted to go in a trip to this canyon :)
I'm amazed by this beautiful photos, what camera did you used to catch this pictures?
Can i ask which types of dangerous animals lives here? Just asking because my friend want to go there with his daughter. And one more question, will there be a mobile communication? I'm interested because I'm a freelance writer, so sometimes I have to work at vacation :(
And sometimes I need to sent an important letters to my customers.
