I’m flying into Seattle but can’t seem to find any good options for a shuttle service to Mount Rainier. Do you know of any good options?

Hey James, good question. Unfortunately May and June tend to still be way too snowy in the PNW mountains for typical 3-season backpacking. On years with very low snowpack and warm spring temps things can sometimes open in late June or early July, but that’s usually a best case scenario. So, I’d recommend looking into low elevation trip possibilities or something on the coast, unless you have extensive winter backpacking gear/skills/experience. Hope that helps!

I’m open to the idea of either/comparable trails in the area! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

For me it will take 4 years! No kidding I’m hiking a portion at a time this year will be my 3rd year and I’ll be heading out the end of July with 3 others to cover the north side Mowich to White River. It truly is one of the best things I’ve done and will feel a great sense of accomplishment if I complete the remainder of the trail in 2018!

Five days! Hill-climbing animal you. I just missed you, I finished the Wonderland yesterday, taking eight days to complete. It would have been fantastic to talk to you on the trail – until you were out of earshot 🙂
Excellent photos. What camera did you use? Still the Sony RX100?
