As being a doctor, I have some prescription pills I keep handy. I had my wife and son put some nausea medication in. It turned out they mistakenly put anti acid in instead, so we stopped by and got some over the counter pills. It worked for an hour, but not that well. With two miles left, his arms went numb and he couldn’t control them because of low electrolytes. I had never seen them before, but in my purchased first aid kit were some electrolyte pills. They helped him get out of the canyon. When packing a first aid kit, pills are great. They weigh close to nothing.
